Here We Go

“Here We Go” is the final burst of joy, unity, and purpose in Exodus: The Musical. It serves both as a curtain call and a commissioning. After a story marked by oppression, grief, miracles, and transformation, this anthem declares that the journey is only beginning. Israel is not simply free from Egypt. They are free for something greater. This finale captures the excitement, uncertainty, courage, and collective fire of a people stepping into the unknown with hope as their guide.
Musically, the number is built on the foundation set by “We Will Go.” It reprises and transforms that earlier anthem’s themes into something brighter, bolder, and more communal. The same Afrobeat pulse returns, but now it is celebratory instead of urgent.

Song Lyrics

For the glory of God
Here we go –
To the promise ahead

With His light in our steps
Here we go –
Where His word has led”

The waters closed
We saw the end

But we are walking
In His name “

Here we go –
Where His word has led “

We won’t stay silent
We answer the call
We walk together
He’s Lord over all”
